About Filara Academy of Beauty

Filara Academy of Beauty was built around one core belief: how you learn matters just as much as what you learn.

Tamara and Filisity have both spent many years working in the beauty industry, running their own spas and working directly with clients every day. Teaching naturally grew out of that work, and over time they realized they wanted to create a school that reflected how learning actually happens in professional practice.

 

The goal was to build something intentional. A place where learning feels supportive and practical. An education program shaped by their own experience, both as students and practitioners.

Instruction is led by professionals who are still actively working in the field. What you learn is shaped by real services, real clients, and day-to-day experience. The classroom is meant to reflect how things actually work in professional practice.

FAB uses a proprietary curriculum developed in-house, with a focus on what matters most in practice. It starts from proven industry standards and established teaching foundations, then brings that knowledge together through the lens of real work experience and teaching insight in a unique way that feels practical and easy to digest. This approach is what makes the learning feel different with FAB.

From our experience, we’ve seen that the majority of people graduating from these courses eventually go on to start their own practice, whether that’s home-based, mobile, or in their own space. Because of that reality, our curriculum includes some basic education around the business side of the industry. This touches on things like pricing basics, client retention, and how to think about running a small service-based business. We feel it’s important for students to have a clear picture of what professional practice looks like once they begin working on their own.

Community is an important part of how FAB operates as well. We do not see the student relationship as something that ends on the final day of class. The intention is to create an environment where people feel supported and comfortable reaching out for help as they continue to grow.
